hi guys , i recently sold my red ca18det ae71 and found out how much it sucks not having a rolla , (alot)

so heres my new build cost so far $547.80 minus $12.25 that i found in the car lol

the car itself was in ok condition bit of rust in normal places the 4k seems strong as 4 speed is a little sloppy but mah who cares

when it all dies i will be ether 20v or 12pp it

all the doors are now shaved as well as the fuel filler lid , all the rust cut and metal put back in place , working on rear apron atm trying to get it to look right is hard

have a closer look at the doors they have old school style poppers , and the fuel will be filled behind the number plate thanks too a xf falcon number plate and fuel filler bracket

Should be a pretty fun vehicle! I have one question. What year is the motor made? I think you may have rego trouble if the motor is older than the shell? I'm not sure exactly but it would be wise to check.

yeah I'm not sure what the go is there with mod or cert plates , if any one knows it would be helpful, its out of a 1973 ta22 gt

 

 

Maybe you should ring Rod (curly is his username). He has approval to mod plate many things, and would have first hand knowledge.

usually the older motor in a newer car applies if there were changes in pollution regulations.

 

If you use the older motor in a newer car, the motor has to comply with the pollution regulations corresponding to the vehicles compliance date.

 

Shit thing is, it doesnt work the other way (new motor still has to comply with pollution laws of today, even if going in a 30 year old car)

 

There are a few ways to get around it (none really legal) but yeah, you might have a bit of trouble doing it totally legit.
