philbey Posted October 2, 2009 Author Report Posted October 2, 2009 Exactly. Anyone know what those suckers are worth, I'm guessing they're $$ Pricey. Quote
7shades Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Eagers? They're cheap as chips :) They were the tyre of choice for 50% of hoons back in the old days... The other 50% had Kelly Charger HR's :( Quote
anastasios Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) I'm pretty sure you can get white tyre paint and pick out the words yourself, ill try find a pic Edited October 2, 2009 by anastasios Quote
coln72 Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Hey, I was one of those old hoons :) !!!!!!!! Were one of the few tyres available in 225/60/13 which I was running on the rear of my 35. Cost $140ish each 12 years ago. Back in the day, could buy special tyre lettering pens to do the letters or you could get the brush and white house paint out :( Quote
philbey Posted October 2, 2009 Author Report Posted October 2, 2009 that mx5 looks mean. Yeh, I'll just paint the suckers... Same for my bike as well. Quote
anastasios Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 yea usually i don't rate sportmax rims but its got a whole nascar look happening Quote
71 Wagon Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 If you find where to get Eagers from then please let me know as I tried 6 months ago and failed. Also the rubber paint as I want the same look for my 13' Chevoit Hustlers that I have had for 14 years and fully refurbished 2 years ago and only just now have found out what they are called. Thanks for this thread and for the link Philbey. P.S. The higher and wider the profile, the bigger and better the wheel looks. I found some 185/70/13 and they look a lot fatter than 175's Quote
7shades Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Unfortunately they don't make them in 13" any more... Only 14" and 15" They list them as S330 and S340 but they are still eagers, and still have the white lettering. Quote
coln72 Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 They were always s330 and s340. Think it referred to the tread pattern. Quote

Felix Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Philby you can get yoky y352's in 205/60R13 and 215/50R13. They have white lettering on one side. Used to run the 205/60's on my old EH wagon with mega dished steelies and hubcaps, but ran the lettering to the inside. They were a pretty good tyre. I don't know if you'd get them under the front though. The rear would most likely need some stiffening and/or guard pumping. Quote

Hows the line on the Yoko website: "The Y352 is available in old-school sizes" Awesome. I need to get some tread on my other car so I'm going to swing past the Yoko dealer, I'll have a chat to them... Quote
