Reaper_Mobb Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 hey guys, i was cleaning up the centre console and installed a set of green LEDs instead of the stock light bulb. made sure they where the correct amp-idge (10) and the worked when testing. i then was removing the wiring for the bulb and some how got the LEDs and bulb on at the same time (bridged with screwdriver i think) anyway i heard a "pop" from the direction of the battery. i have replaced all fuses in the kick pannel because they just looked old and crappy and one was burnt but not blown. i also replaced all the fuses in the battery fuse box but still the dash lights wont come on. can any one tell me why they wont work (LEDs now removed) or better yet what fuse is for the dashlights? i can't work out what one it is :P Quote
Reaper_Mobb Posted September 29, 2009 Author Report Posted September 29, 2009 GAUGE fuse - 7.5A hmmm that would make sense... apart form the fact i can't find it... its a ke70 if that makes any difference... all the fuses in both boxes are 10, 15 or 20amp so maybe that's the problem... i just can't find the dash/gauge/cluster fuse :P Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 I would guess bottom right of the dash.. Quote
Reaper_Mobb Posted September 29, 2009 Author Report Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) I would guess bottom right of the dash.. i got 6 fuses there, all have been replaced, 2 20s and 4 10s. all have been replaced and still not working i think I'm missing something Edited September 29, 2009 by Reaper_Mobb Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 There is also a variable resistor down there that adjusts the brightness of the dash lights.. Quote
Reaper_Mobb Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 There is also a variable resistor down there that adjusts the brightness of the dash lights.. still not working :P makes driving at night/early morning soooo hard.... any other suggestions Quote
Tham Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Can't remember where I downloaded this from, either the Toymods forum or even this forum itself. Here's the entire KE70 wiring. A bit blurry though, due to the age of the hard copy, I believe. It's a universal diagram. If you're right-hand drive, there's another batch of fuses at the bottom panel, just to your right underneath the dashboard and in front of your door. I remember hearing from one wireman that this batch is prone to shorts if water leaks in. Quote
Damon550 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 there is a few fuses behind the driverside kick panel aswell Quote
