snot35 Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 A reverse lip is a different ball game! I doubt you'll notice a whole lot of difference with the types of entry. I'd go with whatever fits, is available and within budget. Then make sure they're getting plumbed nice cool air. Unless you're chasing a whole lot of power over a narrow range then length probably isn't quite so critical. Quote
philbey Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Yeh but that's the exhaust, totally different scenario. Remember that's usually coupled with tuned length headers designed to scavenge exhaust gasses as well. Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) well after searching through yahoo japan and all the ebays, and not finding anything that that was in reason of price and dimensions. i finally found a site that has 40mm dcoe ram tubes at around $55 a pair. ill add the site to my post later on... Thanks alot for all your help :jamie: tweak it performance Edited September 25, 2009 by toyota_ae71 Quote
philbey Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Yeh, there's generally heaps of stuff available for both 40 and 45's. Getting stub stacks at less than 20mm is DAMN hard though and that's all I can fit in mine! Quote
altezzaclub Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Well, if you can't cut these down, how about the $12 Honda ZR plastic stubs guys were using?? http://www.jntperformance.com.au/index_c269035_0.html Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) haha jeez i obviously didnt look too hard hey?? but if i wanted to mount those '40mm id x 50mm long and 62mm bellmouths' id have to get a base tig welded on wouldnt I? altezzaclub Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 yeah I assume so.. What do you reckon? 3mm alloy plate cut and drilled, then tig here and there? Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted September 28, 2009 Author Report Posted September 28, 2009 yeah that would of been better... just payed for 4 of them of that tweakit site and now they're out of stock. jeez that annoys me. now its a 2-3week wait. Quote
