SLO-030 Posted November 3, 2009 Author Report Posted November 3, 2009 That sucks mate, getting T-boned is not fun.. atleast you're alright though. And atleast it was a commy haha and not a rolla. Hope it all goes well with insurance. Yea, I was looking straight at the guy when he hit so i was sorta prepared for it. Didnt go into shock or anything. As for the commy it was still in VGC and only 214,xxx on the clock. I would have ended up alot worse for wear if I was in a Corolla. If i had of been carrying a passenger they'd be dead. I managed to pry the passenger side doors open and sat in the passenger seat and if i was in that seat my woulda whiplashed into the top seatbelt swivel thingo. Gonna strip it and scrap it to get back as much as I can on it. Yes, i know its a commodore. Yes, i know theyre common so parts wont go for much. But don't hate a guy for tryin. Quote
JJT036 Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) Bummer about the accident. You are doing awesome progress to the Wagon. Keep it up. My dad has had plenty of experience of strippin' Commodores. He'd buy one for $500 and make $2,000 out of it. You could make good money out of the VN, Quite alot of $$$. *TIP*: Search on Google for Commodore Forums and you'll find the VN will be Raped in a short time. SLO-030 Posted November 3, 2009 Author Report Posted November 3, 2009 Car WAS in VGC- overrated condition. I know the term gets thrown around alot but it had to be seen to be believed. I'm thinkin of puting the motor and box in my ute. only 214k km on them both and they still pull harder than a school boy. Hit was so hard i can't even pry the drivers side rear door open. and i was able to pry the 2 doors that got hit open :( Quote
Murd 55 Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 that commy really was overrated, i know like impossible to believe glad your ok thou ryan a hit liek that in the ol 30 you mightnt have seen walking again. Quote

SLO-030 Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 Thanks guys, I'm all good. even i thought id be a little sore. As for taking a hit like that in a 30, I don't really wanna think abofut it but I'm sure id be on some sort of machine by now. Even the center console has broken off its mounting points and hard up against the drivers seat. Quote

Its on youtube. Theres also some cool old Toyotas being crash tested if you want to see how scary it is. So sorry to hear about the accident. Hope all is well. Its been a bad year for Rollaclub and accidents. :) Quote
