SLO-030 Posted March 22, 2010 Author Report Posted March 22, 2010 Once i have the post codes and addresses of those who require postage, i'll send out payment details to all. once all 8 pairs have been payed for. I will order away. Quote
SLO-030 Posted March 24, 2010 Author Report Posted March 24, 2010 Thanks goes out to Vince (Seabiscuit) for sending me some goodies over the weekend. First up, a pair of un rooted top rear shock mounts. and secondly, a pair of tail lights. seeing as one is damaged, i will proceed to pull them apart and do something special with em. Quote
SLO-030 Posted March 27, 2010 Author Report Posted March 27, 2010 Did a bit more work to this thing this arvo. Stripped back part of the tailgate, just need to fix up a problem areas then its ready to get primed again. Contemplated cleaning out the interior and start getting that ready for some work. Motivation for body work atm is nil :) Going to get in contact with the uppolsterers that did the interior of my ute soonish, to see if they can hook me up with the same material for the head lining and rear seats and door trims. SLO-030 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 A little more work today. got the 5K sitting in the bay on mounts. Decide to start figuring out wher the wires would be run. At that point i realised i was meant to call up the wire suppliers abot 3wks ago :D Sorry Jono. Also decided i don't like standard K engine mounts. Looking at them, the design seems to encourage tearing of the rubber :D Hmm, just another project i spose. Modified shifter hole seems to be in the right spot, now that i have an engine in there to get the gearbox in the right spot. Quote
-=KE30=- Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 can't wait to see this thing on the road :D Quote
SLO-030 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 Your telling me Josh!! Some days i wake up and think "hmm, wonder if the elves finished the wagon for me?" But its a big learning experience for me. Just want the body work to be out of the way. Oh, and if anyone comes across a VGC passenger front 1/4. please let me know. its the only panel I'm missing at the moment. Scoping out for door and window seals aswel, figured id get a bit of info on em rather than going out and buying the first ones that pop up. Who have people found to be the best? a few out of thailand and singapore seem a bit too cheap. Phil's Rotarys is another ove checked out. $180 for 4 door seals. Seems a bit excessive, but really its only $45 per door. Opinions wanted. Quote
SLO-030 Posted April 2, 2010 Author Report Posted April 2, 2010 Hmm just figured id bump this up for some opinions as aksed in the above post. Probably gonna go with some ones out of thailand or singapore for the doors and get some real good ones for the windscreens. Also found a set of retractable seatbelts for the rear...WOOO Quote
SLO-030 Posted April 5, 2010 Author Report Posted April 5, 2010 OK guys. Got some piccies for you all. Stripped down the pair of taillights i got from Vince. Got a mate in the plastics industry. see ifi can do something special with em. And whats the opinions on mounting for the ignition? On the side of the engine bay, like ziss Or make up a plate and mount it on the original coil mount, like ziss Also Emailed about the extractors, awaiting a final price then will send out PM's for payment. CHEERS Ryan Quote
Taz_Rx Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 On the guard as per first pic, then you can keep the coil in its original spot. Also make sure you mount the MSD on rubber. Did it come with the rubber mount kit? Quote
PMP020 Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 suggestion for ignition mounting. as we all know you like to customise  make a tight water proof lil jacket for it and mount it up under your RHF gaurd, before you say theres no room have a suss up the front, theres heaps behind there. i did the same with one of my earlier corollas back in the day, keeps the bay clean and tidy. cheers, scott Quote
