Smithius Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 yeah i know it was stuffed before hand but the springs have made the problem a bit more noticeable. Â here is a photo of it as of this morning, so you can see how it sits. Â Cheers again Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 Little progress from last night. More pics from Luc to come. Â Rear Doors are almost smooth. Front Doors are already off, ready for the first prime. Â Â Â A bit more rust cut out. Â Â Â . Â Â Made up some spacers at work and am now able to run the chasers on the front. Just need to get some 185/60/15's. Quote
Oh-KE Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Nice work, So whats the paint going to be, black on silver? export cans? :P Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 oh, Export cans **FACEPALM** Â Silver all over with black around the windows, down to the upper body line, across the bonnet and around the other side. Not going for the H3KTIK dori black bonnet look tho. will tie in with the rest of the car and be glossy :P Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 24, 2009 Author Report Posted September 24, 2009 Primer came in yesterday. Â Just have to take care of the rest of the rust repairs. got most of the rust in the boot lip sorted and almost fully welded in. Â Hoping to have the lot in primer within a month. and fully painted and minty fresh. Â Thinking of scrapping the 4KZ idea atm. Run a 4K then have some new age power to drop in, in the future. Still a little sketchy on weather it would be a good conversion. alot of work making a RWD bellhousing to fit. but we'll see. Quote
36panvan Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Great work mate, alot of effort going into this :jamie: Â It will be good to see another wagon on the streets of adelaide Quote
Budowski Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 yes i like this too may give me the motivation to restore the wagon i picked up once the ke25 is done. Quote
greenmac80 Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 here some wheel pics.   rust repairs done  all the doors are now ready for first prime. i would say the car is approx 90% done for first prime. just the annoying bits left. Quote
Tume Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Progress is looking good. Luc you look completely out of it in the first of the pics you just put up. :jamie: Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 Just got home from working on the ol girl. Â As Luc said, 90% ready for first prime. Just some rust repairs in each of the D pillars. Then cut out the inserts for the rear windows. Â most of the car where body work isnt needed its scuffed up all ready, just gotta get the thing out of the shed and give the bay a good degrease. Might get the trans out while I'm at it. Â Luc also brang round the paint for this beast. got a couple of pics, be up later. Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 27, 2009 Author Report Posted September 27, 2009 The passenger side rear rust has been totally eliminated. All smoothed over and in primer. Drivers side is just waiting for me to go to work and cut a strip of steel for the boot seal and weld it in. Â The worst rust in the car (under side window) is all ready to be sanded back. Â All other rust in the car has been rust converted and will give it a go over with some zinc prime and weld in new metal for the bits that need it. Â Seats are out. as is the rear carpet. Will be looking for new carpet for this beast after its painted. Is the wagon carpet the same as the sedan? i don't really need to worry about boot carpet at this stage. Â Where has everybody else go for their carpet needs? Ebay? Knox? Â Cheers Quote
rolla_boy70 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 wagon carpet is the same as the sedan apart from where the rear seat bolts in, the bottom hinges for the seat need cut outs for them but thats all Quote
SLO-030 Posted September 27, 2009 Author Report Posted September 27, 2009 Cheers. didnt knwo if sedan carpet goes all the way under the rear seat. Hinge bolts are only 4 holes anyway. thanks mate Quote
