so it got diffed today so i can push it back into the front yard to keep the council happy :) , i also found the fuel pump i'm gonna use as a lift pump today in the shed, which is just as loud as a facet but it's not a facet :( either way there's the 1st step of the fuel system :D

well it's a roller again time to push it back into the front yard again :bash:

On the plus side i'll be buying some second hand rb engine mounts this week and test fitting the ca into the ke crossmember i have laying under the engine i have at home

I also have a pretty sneaky idea for some cool tailights that as far as i'm aware nobody has done on a keto in brissy/AUS yet, will keep informed once i've got it sussed

There stock tail lights outside just gonna be awsome (hopefully) hahahaha, thinking about painting the lenses black/smoking them out aswell i prefer the stock keto tail lights to the dx ones  PLUS a little extra awesome

And am tosing up what colour to paint it, wanna keep it flat black pigness, but also want it clean at the same time So i'm stuck in the middle

am looking at ideas for brakes too, i know about techno toy tuning apparently makes 86 upgrades, and i'm also looking at hopper stoppers brake kits, as they come 5 stud falcon pattern, and i'm using a falcon diff so i'm leaning towards hopper stoppers but i need opinions on which one too use so anybody who has used both i'd be cheering to hear abit of feed back on them

less talking about spoilers and tail lights....more getting it driving!!

falcon diff sounds massive.

better off finding someting that is 4 studd already (YR22 is the go for CA18 corollas, did the conversion in a mates ae86 with a CA)

as for brakes, i do like the rx7 kit for ae86 struts, the alloy calipers are massive yet quite light (given they are alloy). i think the hopper stoppers would be too heavy (based on holden calipers? ie heavy as..). and you can stay 4x114.3.

then combined with the yr22 diff, you have 4x114.3 all round = happy wheel buying.

will wood would be the go, not cheap though.

The only reason i'm using a falcon diff is for the disk brake's ease of mini spool and ease of finding good gear sets and plus i already have it in the front yard

I'd love to be able to throw my money at a Willwood set but i can't and i'm not that rich hahaha,

I'm willing to add abit of weight to it and go a little overboard and make sure it stops good

Cheers for the opinions dude, i'll deffinately be looking into the rx7 kits for 86 struts

having 4 stud on my new rolla with 4 piston brakes (i have the very easy to do peugeot/hilux/corona setup in that) and in my experience finding wheels to clear big brakes is much more fruitful in 5 stud. ill be going a bigger 4 piston and much bigger discs on the DX and hilux rear end so for me its easier to go 5 stud front end. i wonder if hoppers will make me conversion hubs without buying their brake kits (sorry I'm not a fan either. they work but 2 potters are ugly.)

geez 750US +post (we buy 0.9988USD today), man you can't go past that. brand new stuff and everything.

i should have probably got that instead of stuffing around with the JDM ae86 stuff, new discs 250, calipers ~150, caliper rebuild 250....pads...80...whats that? $730...and still only have 234x18mm....damn stupid takumi tax!

not to mention the ~$110 i paid for new brake lines, and you get that in the kit!!

just order an extra pair of brake pads when you buy them, save having to chase some down when you need them.

down side is i don't think willwood is ADR approved.
