ANK Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 do wade do a re grind cam for a ke20 its a 73 modle i think ?? i would ring wade but there closed the car is so boring so i thought a cam might make it more fun also do you guys put that lrp stuff in your car's mine is chewing threw the petrol more then my vl turbo!!! maybe the carby needs to be played with ?> Quote
philbey Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 If it's chewing that much fuel I'm guessing it's got tune issues to start with. Wade do Cams, download their Cam Cat and you'll see what they've got for 4k's. You probably want some better carbs and exhaust headers to get the most of a new cam. Quote
ANK Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 thanks champ someone has said to me the car is a 3k i honestly no nothing about it and as for headers and a carby ill be right i just want the rumble Quote
Rolliac Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 I use lead replacement for my 3k. Yeah aluminum heads have hardened valve seats but the older seats weren’t made quite as well as the new ones or I so I’ve heard. I don’t think it hurts to use it anyway as is says it can be used in late model cars too. As of your fuel chewing. I’d check for leaks. I found a crack in my fuel line recently. Quote
coln72 Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Ran a Wade grind in my 5k. 169 from memory, but it is recommended that twin carbies are used and a decent exhaust as well. Might be a little over the top in a stocker 3/4k. Best to ring them and some of the others that exist as I know that Wade do not list all possible grinds on the web site. My grind was listed under Triumph of all things! Quote
