LukeAE71 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 kings for the ae92, are 240lb/" front and 165lb/" rears which i know wont cut on the track :worship: i was looking at some custom made spring with my choice of spring rate :y: You could get custom made ones from Industrials in Adelaide. Only thing is you need short stroke shocks to go with it, and by the time you add all that up you are into coilover territory money wise. Quote
actionautocentre Posted September 9, 2009 Author Report Posted September 9, 2009 Pedders extreme XA coil overs to suit AE101 , don't know if its been mentioned on here but front brake upgrade for AE92/93 DBA709 front rotor for a AE102 Sprinter which is 255 dia and a SV21 Camry caliper bolts straight up , makes a good cheap conversion with better stopping Quote

actionautocentre Posted September 11, 2009 Author Report Posted September 11, 2009 Std AE92 strut is a sealed strut can't replace the insert , DBA709 cost 70 bucks and 2nd hand sv21 caliper cost bugger all !!! Quote

200Boy Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 that is who i was planning on getting my springs from  as for short stroke shocks i will depends on how low i go which wont be any lower than my car currently is, plus the bonus of the ae92 sx fronts struts is they have inserts that can be replaced/rebuilt, and i can gut the sx rear wet legs and convert them to accept an insert as well, i just wont have the height adjustability which is not huge concern. Non variable higher rate springs wont sag as much under the weight of the car so the car will sit higher as a result. Therefore you need shorter springs for a higher rate and without short stroke shocks then you will run into captivity issues if you want it to sit at a good height. Quote
