hey all

need alittle help

I'm lowering my ke55 by 2inch all round

in the rear lowering blocks arent an issue any more I'm just going 2inch blocks that re close to a fit and filing them down to fit

but the front springs no matter who i ring i can only get 35 mm its abit less than 1.5inch and i want two inch cuz i like how it sits stock witch is a little lower in the back but if i can only get 35mm it will look like I'm a comodoore fag haha

so first question is will 2inch lowered ke70 springs fit?

second thing is will sigma lcas give me camber like it does in a ke70?

cheers mitch

ps i don't cut springs i do things proply befor you sujest :P

No, their narrower so you'll have to also fit the whole strut as well if you want the springs. But if your planning on swapping the struts over may as well step up to either the T-18 or AE86 struts for the bigger brakes.

But then again there is the Corona etc etc. Just have a search around on the forum.

I believe so but not as much as the '70 cause the '3x and '55 have longer arms.

if i get struts aswell will i have to change brakes or can i keep mine till i upgrade?

yeh i don't want heaps of camber but enough to make it look good i no they give ketos about -4?

so they will only give maybe 2- or 3- to mine?

thanks mitch

Mitch have a read of my race car thread - I did a coil over conversion on the front of it and that would answer most of your questions. A decent search of the forums would also have done that :P

If you want to be able to really adjust your front ride height without depending on off the shelf springs, you should go a coil-over conversion. There is no point doing this with the standard Corolla strut tube as the inserts for them are just about non-existent. Upgrade to a Corona XT130 strut, or I imagine you can make an AE86 one work as well, and you open up your options a lot. No point bolting your old brakes back on to these (if it would even work), leave what they come with on the car for much better stopping power.

KE3*/5* LCA's are the same length as Coronas, so they give no change to camber. Sigma LCA's are alleged to fit and will give a bit more camber, but you need to rework the taper on the ball joint hole to suit the Corolla balljoint apparently. The same applies for Mx62 Cresside LCA's I believe.

Using Cusco Camber tops I got just over 2 degrees negative camber. They can be sourced from A J Pee S in Adelaide (weird spelling to avoid forum editting rules) and if you mention Adam with the KE35 race car recommended you, he will give you free shipping. I think they are $360ish for the pair.
