flat out Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 hey guys time to start another build thread so i found what i thaught to be a ae71 spirit, turned out to be a ke70! owned buy a young girl, i asked if she was keen to sell and she was, i offered her 1000 without driving it, took it for a drive and noticed that mosdt of the car was actually f@$ked, gearbox was noisy in first, seat had colapsed, tappets where going off there nuts cd player worked some times, and was plain filthy, ended up getting it for a decent price to say the least, fixed it, cleaned it, drove it, crashed it, fixed it, drove it, then the engine decided it would stop holding its fluids (used 3 ltr of 20/50 a week!) but it shot off a coolant hose, fixed that, good as gold for a day, then water started streaming out from abouve the starter motor, time for a rebirth as it sits 84 KE70 S spirit wing 14x7 ssr formula mesh spirit grill cig locker falcon springs in rear with zuk shocks jvc hu rockford fosgate 5 1/4 splits in front and coxail in rear 2x 12" rockford fosgate P3 PUNCH subs small alpine amps gay steering wheel and monza gear knob pimpin butter fly seat covers cracked dash ------------------------------------- to go in 4AGE smallport T50 cogswappa 2.1/4 stainless exhaust with magnaflo round muffler and offset box muffler v band flanges! ebay ae86 radiator + hose kit exeady cushion button ke55 lca HSD sleaves 8kg springs on shortened ta22 struts, st185 inserts tien camber tops skids garage kustoms steering arms lock spacer cusco ncrca new bushes ect Quote

flat out Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 little bit of an update, got the old 4k and k40 out, turned out the welsh plugs where all stuffed, ohwell :P got the new tailshaft and t50 in, worked out i have an AE86 gearbox x member and took me a bit to get my head around, just waitning on my Exeady cushion button in 212mm to come in and my 20v flywheel to be machined, got some arp flywheel bolts too big thanks to Adam Prewer at repco (PREWER) on rollaclub, I'm sure he will look after the local rollaclub boys :cool: Quote

flat out Posted October 4, 2009 Author Report Posted October 4, 2009 it cost me $1200 for a engine, no clutch, no leads, come with a rwd loom, box, near bare parts car for engine x member, ecu, radiator pipes, coil and ignighter, and thats about it, cheap yeah, but i have spent over $2500 just in little parts, every thing adds up. its a 100kw smallport btw leigh; there sitting here, waiting for you to buy Quote
