parrot Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dellorto-DHLA40-serv...id=p3286.c0.m14 Don't be at all surprised if this is a cheaper option. All the info you need (plus more) is here http://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/prod...artsectionID=62 Quote

philbey Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 I had trouble finding bits for mine. My dynotuner had a stock of parts though. Quote
Roo Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 ok got it sorted and got them rebuilt but it leaking fuel after i turn it off what do you guys do about fuel return, thinking it might be getting to much pressure and pushing the fuel thought the carbies Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 No fuel return from my carbs, Pressure is controlled by the mechanical fuel pump.. Quote
philbey Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Leaking from where? As in out the throats? You DEFINITELY need to run a fuel pressure regulator on these things, stock K engine pumps will put out more than 4psi which is the absolute max for these things Go get a holley red FPR and a cheap gauge. These are pics of mine, I mounted the FPR off the manifold-carb bolts on an aluminium angle bracket. Gauge is downstream before the carbs, but I'm going to remount it onto the spare port on the FPR... One day. Edited September 14, 2009 by philbey Quote
Roo Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 ok sit up my return on the fuel pump and she not leaking fuel anymore now its of to the shop for a tune Quote
parrot Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 I am going to run a mitsuba pump on both my 2TG and K-B. You can get Malpassi filterkings cheap from Canada (about $USD70 inc post). These act as a fuel filter and a pressure regulator for carbed engines. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Malpassi-Fu...n%3D5%26ps%3D63 Excuse the link. I have bought two of these from this seller. Have had personal experience with over pressuring the needles on twin webers on an L20B. Did a great job of washing the bores. I don't recommend it Quote
philbey Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Yes I too will repeat - you need to run a fuel pressure regulator, or you'll find it.... tricky to tune. Quote
Roo Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 ok so will get a fpr, this holley one is the 1psi-4psi model hey? got a part number? will go pick one up tomorrow Quote
philbey Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Any speed shop will have them, just look for a holley red Fuel Pressure regulator. I can't remember what the top end pressure is on it but it's well beyond 4PSI. You'll need a gauge too. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Or get one like this.... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Speco-Meter-Fuel-Pr...id=p3286.c0.m14 The 1-6 around the edge is the pressure in PSI..... still having a guage isn't a bad idea. :P Quote
