Super Jamie Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 z|gen said: interesting, because most of daihatsu's engines iv worked on are infact toyotas.. not surprising, consdiering toyota have owned daihatsu since 1972 a paseo uses a 5e-fe motor, 1500 but otherwise pretty similar to a 1300 4e from a starlet. it's the "big block" starlet engine and i've played around with a 4e-fte, apart from the fact you can't get rwd gearboxes or bellhousings for them, nobody makes spigot bearings to suit, and nothing bolts across to a K motor either Quote
