i went round to see the bash car today and take it out for a spin. but when i lift the bonnet to jump the battery, i notice the distributor and leads have been taken. also the dipstick was thrown across the yard and oil was all down the side of the engine. considering there is a backpackers jus across the road and u can just see the car from the road, i point the finger with no questions. :) :bash:

I'm asking, if i get a dizzy and leads from a wreckers. how do i put the dizzy back in considering it wasn't lined up or anythin?

I just used a Gregory’s workshop manual. It’s pretty easy.

From memory: you line the rotor button with number 1 on the dizzy, set number 1 piston to TDC on compression stroke. Then install the dizzy. You might have to use a screw driver to turn the oil pump so the rotor is aligned.

The manual has pictures and stuff. You can even get one from the library.
