Why not chin70? At least post something constructive :)

More power over the front wheels = less understeer. You might get more oversteer but that could be adjusted out with suspension tuning. Other option is to mid-mount the motor.

Try a search it's been covered before. There's apparently a guy floating about with one that's made 245rwkw and still not running properly (obviously not standard motor).

I was looking at my empty bay today and chatting to a mate about it and looking at his rb30 long motor on the ground right next to my car. It'd be a very very tight fit.

You'd need at least custom mounts, wiring, firewall and tunnel mods, r31 diff & box, shortened tailshaft etc etc

Kiss any chance of rego goodbye too.

The Rb30 kicks ass in a R31 can't see why it wouldn't in a rolla lol.

Because the Corolla weighs probably 300-500kg less than the R31, you'll have a great lump of weight sitting over the front wheels which means less traction at the rear unless you fit fat tyres, and the handling prowess of a pregnant blue whale. As a burnout or drag car it might be alright, but as anything else it will be a lump of shite.

X2 !

and this...

But if you wanted to mid-mount it and bolt the gearbox straight onto the diff it would be great fun! Ideally use an independant setup like a Datsun 1600 so the diff doesn't move up and down. (tilts the engine!) Means hacking the rear floor pan out and starting again, but Mr Bates does it to his "looks-like-a-Corolla" 4WD rally car. ..and you have the grinder already!

Even better would be transaxle setup out of a VW Kombi or Alfa Alfetta , so the diff and gearbox is all one unit.
