hey

 

i was just viewing some of the old threads..one was about having your cam reground, i don't understand that concept fully..wont they work in reverse, taking metal away from your cam ?

 

also do u need any other modifications if u have your cam reground ??

If you want to increase the lift of the cam, you grind away the back (smaller) side of the cam. As you adjust your tappets on this side, it will follow a larger lobe, thereby increaseing lift. You're not regrinding the whole cam, just re-profiling it.

stock springs will hit 8 grand no worries, but do it enough (racing, or just because you like seeing the tacho hit 8500rpm, like me :)) then the springs will wear out. i suggest heavy duty springs unless you like changing valve springs every couple of years

 

i don't know what my springs are from, or what brand they are, an engine builder put my head together and just found something that fit. but they were only $110 for the set (as opposed to $80 for stock springs)
