TIMMMAAAAYYY Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Hi guys.....long time since I visited here. I just purchased a 1979 ke55 coupe and a 1980 ke55 four door sedan. My question is: can I run these on unleaded fuel ? Quote
Tiger Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 I used to run my KE35 on Premium Unleaded. Higher octane reading. No sweat running that fuel IMO. Unless there is a doctor in the house that can prove the damage that can result otherwise... Quote
Redwarf Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Yes, you can run them on ULP. There is a few topics in here about it. Searching will find them. Cheers Rob Quote
Jero Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 It's getting alot harder to find LRP (Lead Replacement Petrol) these days. And even if you do the price is too stupid to mention. I am currently running my KE30 on Unleaded, (I wish I could afford Premium  ), and it works like a charm. Quote

TIMMMAAAAYYY Posted June 2, 2005 Author Report Posted June 2, 2005 Thanks for the link, Redwarf.....I searched for ages and couldn't find one. CHEERS Quote
dysolve Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 just a note to all Super or leaded fuel was 95/96 octaine and ULP is 91-93, my little ke20 knockes it head off when i run ULP so I run PULP 98 only, runs fine use the lead additive every 3rd or 4th tank ... seems fine, the main problem with unleaded fuel is it burns hotter, and can break stuff, just make sure your radiator is all ways in good shape... fact's, who needs them, they can be used to prove any thing.
