Hey everyone I have decided that the 4K toyoglide driven KE25 needs a new engine just wondering what you guys think of me putting a 4AGE into it?

It wont be straight away it needs some rust fixed up first and a paintjob the interior is overrated so its just all the funstuff left PAINT + ENGINE CONVERSION + REGO = ZOOM

I'm not looking to turbo it or make it fully sick just wanting to know if you think its worth it TIPS / HINTS

Its been done many, many times before and the results are usually impressive. You wouldn't be winning any originality contests, LOL.

2T/3TG hybrid will be better than 4AGE by a country mile, will be period correct, go twin sidedraughts, and you've got sweet induction noise too.

 

will beat most commodores. (apparently that's all you need in life :D )

Just throw a decent 4k or 5k in it with a 5 speed and drive it.

 

Work on the suspension and brakes as you go along, and do a conversion later if you still want to.

 

Cars are meant to be driven, not worked on.

I second that!

 

I bought a KE20 off a bloke who had put in a really worked 5k motor. Oh what a feeling :lolcry:

That's the best advice I reckon....

 

KE2X's should of had 5K's from the factory :P

hhhmmm so you guys reckon i shouldnt bother with the 4age cause I picked up and 4k with a 3k bigport head might put that in and tubo it later.???

Yeah go with that in the mean time.

If you want to turbo it later then get yourself a 5k bottom end and slap the 3kbp head on it as it will lower your CR. :P
