74KE20 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 hey guys just converted from a shitty 3k to a fully rebuilt and very worked 4k! used all the same parts off the 3k and put on the 4k like alternator etc. my problem is that the clutch is not fully disengaging. checked the cable and it seems to be working sweet. my question is, is a 4k crank different to a 3k? the flywheel bolted straight on but I'm wondering is the crank that the flywheel bolts to thicker or thinner? any help would be much appreciated!!! cheers Quote
Taz_Rx Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Both indenticle. Everything you have done should have worked in theory, but for some reason hasn't. Haven't really got an ideas for you either. Maybe the throw out bearing retainer isn't sitting in the fork properly! :hmm: Or the fork might have popped off its pivot. Quote

tojo2 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Did you use the steel plate between engine and gearbox from the 3k? 4ks use a thinner one. About 2mm difference Quote
