^^^ Taz can't pull the grill out of a KE1X with out openign the bonnet it is screwed in from the top and is metal so can't snap it out..LOL

I have the books at home I can look tonight for an idea to remove it BUT try removing the stone chip guard and reach up from under the car. Should be able to pull the latch.

The cable goes into the side of a KE1X latch adn pulls sideways towards the drivers side if that helps with how to guid your hand/screw driver..LOl

Cheers

Oh der, it the same with a '55 now I think about it, you still need to open the bonnet to remove the grill.

Might also be worth having a prod around with a bent coat-hanger (like trying to break into a car) to see if you can hook the latch through the grill.

You can just go through one of the openings in the grill with a long screwdriver.

Have a good look through the grill to where the end of the cable attaches to the bonnet release mechanism. You may need a torch to see more clearly depending on light.

Just went and did it. If you know where to put the end of the screwdriver it takes 2 seconds.

Can't find my camera so can't take a pic sorry.

The cable ends on the opposite side to where the hood safety latch is. You have to go in under the radiator support panel. There is a slot (for cable removal) where the knob at the cable goes into... The end of the screwdriver goes into the slot, you lever it slightly and pop goes the bonnet.
