rob83ke70 Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 can somebody confirm whether the ball joints in a ke20 fit into a ke10 lower control arm? I have the cars apart but it is a huge hassle to get the control arms down to a press especially if it doesn't work... Robert. Quote
parrot Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 I have some new KE1x balljoints coming by post, and some new KE2x ones in the shed so can specifically measure and compare in a couple of days. I can tell you they are different part numbers. Quote
Felix Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) Years ago when I worked as a parts interpreter I compared them side by side. The ke2x looked like they should press straight in, but have a different taper. A mate tried it himself with the ke2x balljoints in one of his ke10's using the ke2x steering arms and ke2x struts. He said he ended up with even more positive camber than stock. He went back to the stock balljoints and struts with later brakes. Edited August 2, 2009 by Felix Quote

rob83ke70 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Report Posted August 4, 2009 the idea was to mate ke20 ball joints to ke20 struts into a ke11 body, but I have since changed my mind as to the merits of the whole operation. Robert. Quote
