KE70's are cool Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Hey I just got a new genuine clutch cable for my gfs ke30 and its the right one but it doesnt have the end bit to go onto the clutch fork? do you have to change it over from the old one some how? any help would be good, can't drive it now!!!!!11 Top one is the non gen f@$ked one and the bottom is the brand new genuine ke30 one Cheers Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 That bit is a clip, just unhook it, takes 2.7 seconds...... Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 ^what he said. The other side of it will have a slit through it to remove it. Quote
KE70's are cool Posted July 24, 2009 Author Report Posted July 24, 2009 thanks for the fast response! :y: Where abouts do you undo it? i can't seem to find any slits? Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Ok, just had a look outside, turns out there are 2 types of those clips, one looks kinda like yours, and has no slit at all and the other has the slit you can pass the wire through...... Try your local wrecking yard, ask if you can have a look about.......Or order one direct from Toyota, they always seem to have spares of everything.... Quote
KE70's are cool Posted July 24, 2009 Author Report Posted July 24, 2009 couldnt i just cut the old one up? just so the wire will go through? cheers Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 You could, but would you really want to trust the entire operation of your clutch to a clip you cut a chunk out of? Better off going with the factory one really..... Also, cutting it would be a damn sight harder than it looks..... Quote
