Raven Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) So I've decided to start another world-class thread, this time showing off your toolbox. This thread would also be great to discuss what specialty tools you have that are used for certain jobs, like a ball joint seperator for example. Here's mine: Edited July 11, 2009 by Raven Quote
KENut Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 My most recent aquisition for the toolbox was a set of metric ratchet spanners made by Toolex (supposedly made in same factory as Sidchrome). Mmm, ratchety goodness, makes tearing things apart really quick. Quote
Raven Posted July 12, 2009 Author Report Posted July 12, 2009 Are your ratchet spanners reversible as well? Quote
Doogs Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Ratchet spanners are great ! I also have a set of metric ratchet-ring and open end spanners, they are really handy. Quote
KENut Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Yep they sure are reversable! lefty loosey 1 way, flip spanner over and righty tighty. Cunning, hey? The spanners have floppy ratchet ends which is great for really tight spots. They don't have a ratchet open end though, which can come in handy where you can only access one side of a bolt. Quote

Which is all good until you undo a bolt and find you can't get the spanner off, and can't do it back up because you can't get the spanner off, which is stuck on the bolt because you can't do it back up again, because you can't get the spanner off because it's stuck on the bolt.......... Id post up picks of my tool kit or umm say kit's,box's,wall arrangement's but don't know where to start so many but my basic traveling kit is very much like ravens. My latest addition to my tool kit is a shed, 12.2m X 6.2m, 2.7m opening height. 125mm thickness floor from 2m starting at the back of the shed and 135mm for the rest. All my crap is still inside the house, garden shed and under the carport but i need time to sort some decent shelving. Edited July 13, 2009 by Budowski Quote
Johno Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) That shed looks awesome  Almost as good as my carport before the wind got to it. Lol  Edited July 13, 2009 by Johno Quote

Felix Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Toolbags are good to have in you car. I used to have a steel toolbox in my ke15, but once I upgraded the suspension and put decent tyres on it, I had to remove it from the car. It kept wanting to flip over during hard cornering, so I went to a toolbag. Quote
