the words 'mini tubs' and 'restoration' don't realy belong anywhere near each other.

 

or is that just my warped view on a restoration? aka restore to original.

its sort of hard to restore a car to race spec when it didnt come out of the factory running 9's :P

Were thinking old skool jap style on both the 16 and 17, i want to mini tub mine so i can fit big rims under it if i want too, as I'm going for a show/race car theme. Mine needs a full resto but it was never going to be all original anyway, not with the honda engine i wana run thats for sure. :jamie:

how long can you leave it exposed like that until you start to get some rusting?

It depends on your location how long you leave a car bare. In adelaide in summer, you might get away with it for some time. Anywhere humid will surface rust up pretty quick.

 

All the california rod boys run bare metal bodies/bikes, they keep hitting it with WD40. Again, desert climate = dry and low humidity.

 

Oh you gotta keep it indoors.

Very little happening on project 17 at the moment but I'm planning to do some work on her over the xmas brake. Rest assured those quarters and the rear end are well primered. :lol:
