irokin Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 The CA20 is a lump of dog shit frequently replaced by CA18DETs. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 The CA20 is a lump of dog shit frequently replaced by CA18DETs. Unless you do what Candellan on Twincam did and made a CA20DET, although it took him many years to finally finish it and the overall result is questionable compared to the time and effort a _good_ CA18 or SR20 conversion would involve. tas_ae71 Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 (edited) as above, even if you got the whole motor set-up for free, the cost of the rest of the conversion would not be worth it for a ca20. these a reason they came in pinnies ca18det are cheap as chips, but they are old so it maybe hard to get a "fresh" motor. Rich_Rolla Posted July 2, 2009 Author Report Posted July 2, 2009 (edited) Yeah I was just wondering as my mate just wrote off his pinny. And says we can do what ever we want with it. Edited July 2, 2009 by Rich_Rolla Quote
joshyouwah Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 ca20's go pretty good in gazelles. well, compared to a k engine in a corolla anyway Quote
