drift freak Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 This build is off the hook!!! Just read the whole thread, keep up the good work and keep up the updates :) Quote
1JZKe55 Posted May 29, 2013 Author Report Posted May 29, 2013 well after a few hours of welding the turbo manifold is finished just need to pickle it to clean it up and its ready to go :P: 1 Quote
drift freak Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 Wow good work on the manifold 👍can I ask, did you mount the head flanges and turbo flange together in the position you wanted then make the runners to suit or just start onto the runners and position the turbo flange later??? Quote
1JZKe55 Posted June 11, 2013 Author Report Posted June 11, 2013 I think this will answer your question Quote
1JZKe55 Posted June 11, 2013 Author Report Posted June 11, 2013 Finally the exhaust is finished ;) Quote
drift freak Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 Yeah answers the question perfectly. Awesome work :) interesting your using v-bands on the exhaust, looks sweet as!!! Quote
1JZKe55 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Report Posted June 12, 2013 Cheers guys yeah Vbands so much better than a normal exhaust flange no leaking no gaskets no bolts to worry about and its nice and easy to drop the exhaust out at the track. I spent some time today making the mount for the handbrake Quote
drift freak Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 Hydro handbrake??? I thought this was a drag car??? Please explain?? Quote
1JZKe55 Posted June 12, 2013 Author Report Posted June 12, 2013 Ha yeah it was easier than trying to set up a cable setup and it will help hold the car while its staged instead of having your foot on the clutch brake and accelerator all at the same time you can just put it in first gear foot on the clutch hold the handbrake on and bring the rev's up let go of the handbrake and drop the clutch and away you go Quote

I had just assumed it would be a built auto like so many others, this car is certainly gonna cause a stir. :y: Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 This thing is mental! I can't wait to see this thing do a run!! Quote
Smithius Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Going to be ready for 4,6 and rotor nats later this year Quote
1JZKe55 Posted June 17, 2013 Author Report Posted June 17, 2013 yeah I'm not sure if it will be done in time there's still heaps of work to do. I spent a little more time on the rolla today cleaning up all the manifold and dump pipes Quote
