3k Powered Forumula 3

Damn can't see it at work. Hanging to watch it!

 

I've seen a couple of video's of circuit racers with K engines in them and I'm MAD keen.

as parrot said there was a 3k powered clubman down at historic winton. it apeared to be a 70's special. i had a good chat to the owner. he didn't know much about the car as he had bought it just to keep him on the track while he rebuilt his elfin streamliner. he said it made about 120hp at the wheels but this was a safe tune and if he really wanted he could get 140hp from a n/a 3k. didn't get any info about if it had been bored/stroked or any info on the cam he had in it but it sounded like a beast. it is for sale for 22k with trailer but i am unsure if it has sold or not.

Cool, front engined. I reckon I've seen an in car video of that thing lapping sandown. Sounds crazy.

Not a 3K but still a corolla motor. This car was at last weekends Hill Climb sporting a new motor. It used to run a BMW motor but now runs a dry sumped silver top. Unfortunatly he only had slicks so could not realy post a good time, but I'm sure it will next time.

Yeh that Galloway clubman is the video I saw ages ago. Unreal. I'd love to get a chance to go for a zoom in one, you don't need the craziest, biggest HP motor to have fun!

 

There's some cool little race cars out there.
