bernieboy Posted May 21, 2005 Report Posted May 21, 2005 All three cars look tuff as. Nice rims on all cars. What is the width & offset of the rear wheels on the KE35? Also what are the tyres? Bernie-J Quote
Starlet82 Posted May 21, 2005 Author Report Posted May 21, 2005 All the tyres that you see here are all 175/50 - 13s. except for my 2nd posting of pics which are 185/55 - 13s. the 175/50s are yokohama A539s, the 185/55s are pirelli P7f all wheels on my Ke30 are 7in. wide, on the Starlet there its 8in. wide. My friends Ke35: front: 6.5in wide with 175/50 - 13, yokohama A-539 rear: 8in wide with 175/50 - 13, yokos also. Yokohama a539s are what we use here for old school cars. Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 and before you all go out and buy tyres, they're illegal sizes to put on a ke30 in australia  when i've finished burning this dvd i'll work out 175/60/13s on ke2x. i run 185/60/13 A539s on my car and they're the PERFECT height compared to the to the original 155R12 Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 175/60/13 is illegal on ke2x as well, too short, 215/50/13 has the right height but is too wide. they're both the common slick sizes for 13" wheels. ideally you'd run 185/60/13 on ke1/2 (and 185/60/14 on ke3+) you can get A032Rs in 175 and 215  stupid azenis start at 14" :( Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 really? cool :( if i can get another spare wheel (or another SET of 13x6s) i might buy some for hillclimb usage only  Quote
Starlet82 Posted May 22, 2005 Author Report Posted May 22, 2005 they're illegal sizes to put on a ke30 in australia  Really? wow, what a bummer, so whats the smallest size you can put? 175/60s? with 8in. wide wheels they look also good.... Quote
bernieboy Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 rear: 8in wide with 175/50 - 13, yokos also. Whoa! Undersized I use 8inch wide rims w/ bridgestone s340 eagers & the local tyre place said they were too small for the rim, even though I'm not allowed to use 8inch. I've even got dunlop 175/50/13 that i was going to use on different mags. I'll assume these are illegal too. Damn RTA rules! I wish i was living in Phils. Bernie-J Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 in australia, you have up to 15mm variance on the overall tyre height, compared to the original tyres on the vehicle. we also have limitations on vertical wheel size, and width you can use tire.xls on my garage page to work out other tyres vs original height. a 155R12 or 155R13 (original corolla tyres) is actually a 155/82/12 or 155/82/13 you'll also find a document on there which gives ideal rim width for different sized tyres Quote
