AE80Rollaguy Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Hey fellow rolla club members! my good friend aron has asked me if any of the Rollaclub Members would be keen to come along!! Cheers Tory~! Long Weekend Queens Birthday Cruise Sunday 7th of June 2009 After a few days of planning a Long Weekend Cruise, we have finally come up with an idea for a Sunday Day Cruise that will finish up at Somerset Dam, quite a nice location next to the water. We will meet at Springwood A-Mart (Previously known as Springwood Old Ikea) at 7:30AM and we will depart at 8:00AM sharp, we need to leave by this time to ensure we arrive at Somerset Dam on time to allow enough car parks for all the cars that will be attending. I will be driving a midnight purple R33 Skyline with the plates MRR33 so if anyone wants to come up that have a question or just to say hi feel free to as i don't bite ...much I ask everyone to please behave on this cruise, and remember that this is not a race to who gets there first, it is a nice two hour drive which will encounter a great finish point at the end of the drive. Please ensure you arrive at the first location with a full tank of fuel and make sure you all check your oil, water, tyre pressure etc the day before the cruise ..oh and make sure you wash it too There are BBQ's at Somerset Dam on site, but we encourage one or two people to bring a portable BBQ they are happy to share amoug us all just incase they are all being used or are not working. I belive McGnarly is bring a portable BBQ so thanks for that Nice and early start so we can get there at a decent time of the morning as it will be roughly a two hour drive and ensure we get enough car parks as we're expecting a decent turnout for the Long Weekend Cruise. Click here to see the GoogleMap. There will be a Fuel Stop, but only for those who need fuel because there will be not enough space for all the cars to park there however others will continue along and we will all re-group at Fernvale Township for a quick bite to eat and to stretch your legs before our final push to Somerset Dam. Now, here's all the information you will need in regards to starting points, catch-up points times etc. Meeting Spot One: Springwood A-Mart (Springwood Old Ikea) Arrive: 7:30AM Depart: 8:00AM Sharp! Catch Up Point: Fernvale Township We will allow 20mins for people to catch up, and if you like you can grab a quick bite to eat here and strech your legs too Arrive: 9:00AM Depart: 9:20AM Sharp! Final Destination Somerset Dam Arrive: 10:30AM Depart: When you like, though stay around have some lunch and check out the cars - and meet a few new people Helpers (Without These Guys, It Wouldn't Be The Same, So Thanks Cruise Leaders: Tweak (Cameron, Toyota Hilux, Green Rims) McGnarly (Tim, Maroon R33), Angry_Clown (Damian, Purple/Black Starlet) MRR33 (Aron, Midnight Purple R33) Portable BBQ: McGnarly Anyone Else? 2-3 would be nice if anyone else can help with a portable BBQ just incase we can't get our hands on one there for some reason Drinks (Cans they will be $1 each, remember to bring your own food though) Couger899 StreetFame33 If you have any questions, just post them here and I'll try and answer them for you or you are more then welcome to PM me if you wish. A lot of planning has gone into this cruise so I hope to meet a few new faces ...so who's there, who's keen? Quote

AE80Rollaguy Posted June 5, 2009 Author Report Posted June 5, 2009 Should be a pretty good day, hope to see a few of you guys out on Sunday We're looking at over 50 cars last time I counted how many people were keen to come along to the Somerset Dam Cruise, so it'll be a big day out. We've got a photographer for the day who will be taking photos of all the rides that'll be out and about, also got a couple of us who'll be bringing drinks that will be sold for $1 on the day and also got someone brining a BBQ just incase they are all taken when we do get there. But all in all, a lot of organising has gone into the cruise so should be a smooth run up to Somerset Dam check the Google Map link in the first post of the route we will be taking Any questions or anything feel free to shoot me a PM or just reply here Quote
