corolla_nut Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Hey We have some ke25 seats in reasonable condition considering their age, but the vinyl has cracked in a few places. Where can I get these repaired/recovered so they look the same as or as close as I can get to stock? Any reccommendations? Anyone want to give your fav trimming place a plug? Also, say I wanted custom carpets, for example, my gearstick is in the wrong place, ke55 box fitted to ke11, or I took the back seats out and wanted to carpet the unsightly floor (actually more to reduce the noise) where can I get this done? Is it possible to get a kit where you can mould your own carpets? I've had a bit of a poke around on the internet and found a few hotrod places that offer "kits" but unless you actually went there in person its hard to work out exactly what it is and how it works. Anyone have any experience in matters such as this? Robert (Kylie's account) Quote
Rich_Rolla Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Well if you go into clark rubber I'm pretty sure they sell car carpets. Cut it yourself, it's not hard. Quote
corolla_nut Posted June 2, 2009 Author Report Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) He posted this before asking me!!! Tru fit carpets and Knox Auto Carpets do moulded carpets without any holes cut out. edit: Robert! use your own account! lol Edited June 2, 2009 by corolla_nut Quote
philbey Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 There's a company selling carpet kits on ebay, they often list for corollas with a hyphen (KE-10). They have been around for ages and may even be Knox carpets, I know the'yre out that way. I got mine for the KE-16 for about 160 bucks delivered I think. No holes cut and it fit pretty damn well. Would use them again. Quote
TE278U Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 i HIGHLY reccomend OZTRIM in Melbourne. the bloke ALan did some fabulous work in my TE27, and he is a Japanese old skool vehicle enthusiast, albeit he owns Dirty Datsuns... pic as of yesterday Quote
dbr11k Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) yeah knox auto carpets are pretty good and you can get a lot of different plushes and colors http://www.knoxautocarpets.com.au/ Edited June 7, 2009 by dbr11k Quote
altezzaclub Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Local guy in Molong did my Datsun 1600 seat, and I think he did the green seats in the shed 'rolla we took the gearbox out of. He does private jobs from home, works during the day. I bought new moulded carpet for the Datsun from Knox or one of them and it worked out fine. Quote

trav_555 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) Hahahahaha Why? I know it will get dirty etc, but it would suit the paint more than black? Travis. Edited June 8, 2009 by trav_555 Quote
parrot Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Hahahahaha Why? I know it will get dirty etc, but it would suit the paint more than black? Travis. There was a TA22 at Winton Histoics the other day, with a completely white interior, and it was hideous. Black is the new black. And you will get more hot chicks........or so I am told. ;) Quote
trav_555 Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Yea I was tlaing to a mate of mine and ive decided black, that way i can get blakc Sparco's and everything else retrimmed in black leather or something, black wll keep alot cleaner ;) especially in a daily ;) Travis. Quote
