Sound Deadener....

Hey everyone...

Just wondering if sound deadener exists for cars? Like to put inside doors or something to drown out the sound of the road.... ?

Yeah it does exist, i think you can get it from autobahn.. They use it to help stop boot rattle from subs i think

well it worked in my mates s15 :dance: reduced the boot rattle significantly

Theres many types such as spray ons, one's you brush on and the mat ones from what i know. I highly recommend dynomat extreme, may have a big price tag but worth it.

Autobarn sells sound deadener called dynamat. It's not cheap stuff, cost is around $320 for a bulk pack which will do roughly 4 doors and a boot usually.

Bostik also has a mat. We sell two different sizes at work, a 1 foot by 4 foot sheet that comes in a box of 6 and the larger size of approx 6 foot by 8 foot.

 

The auto panel shops buy the stuff from time to time but don't ask me on the pricing.

 

K and H has a liquid form thats ok.

dyna mat is good stuf.. its pretty heavy and it needs a heat gun to be applied properly.. on ebay they have silver sound deadener on a roll get 7ft squared of it for about 80bux worked a treat for me.
