Lexxi[ke35] Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Its so wierd how a baby can be that small and grow into a real sized adult. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 thanks guys. oh and thanks for the insider knowledge Dan :P your missus is like 4' tall isn't she? so you'd be right? :y: :hmm: :P Quote
orangeLJ Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Id love to see pictures of him as he gets bigger hey! I can't believe how small the little tacker is, one of our good friends is 12 weeks out at the moment and he/she is a fiesty little sucker, loves to punch and kick! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 23, 2009 Author Report Posted June 23, 2009 Id love to see pictures of him as he gets bigger hey! Well here you go!! Byron's doing really well, 5 weeks old and now up around 1200gm in weight. Between last Tuesday and Thursday he put on around 100gm, or in "Biggest loser" terms that about 10% of his body weight in 2 days!!! :bash: He also had his first bath yesterday. Apparently loved it...... Quote
fusion Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Any updates Taz? Be good to see how the little one is going  Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 Will do in a couple of days. I've been busy at work last week so I didn't get down to Hobart last weekend to see him. Reckon I'll notice a hell of a difference when I see him later today!!! Is now out of Neonatal Intensive Care and in the "speacial care nursury". We have one of those at the hospital in Launy (just no neo ICU) so hopefully he'll be coming up here in the next couple of weeks. Will make life so much easier for the missus and I. Oh and he's now over 1.5kg!! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 24, 2009 Author Report Posted July 24, 2009 Though maybe it was time for an update. Biggest news now is Byron is now at the Launceston General Hospital :y: , He was transfer from Hobart last Friday. Had his first proper bath last night (in a bath, not a bowl! :lolcry:) and loved it. Bit of a shock when his bum first hit the water but then he realised it wasn't so bad and started splashing around. All clean. This is just a regular sized Mount franklin bottle..... And I also styled him his first mow-hawk last night..... He's now over 2kg (just) and getting moved up to 4 hourly feeds today, so 2x bigger steps to coming home. :lolcry: Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 30, 2009 Author Report Posted July 30, 2009 Had this phone for over a year and just realised the other night that I can make Gif's on it..... Anybody know why it won't keep looping through the pics? It only goes through the 4x once. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 Hopefully have him home by next week!! :) I start a months annual leave on Monday too so can't wait for that also.... finally get some work done on some cars. Anyway here's some comparo pics: This was taken on the 22nd of June.... And here he is in the same outfit last weekend.... Also now smashing down bottles..... Quote
Taz_Rx Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 Correction: Just got a phone call from Katie and he's COMING HOME TODAY!!!!! :) Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 (edited) Aaaaawwwwww, so sweet....... Edited August 14, 2009 by Toy-Yoda Quote
Felix Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Good news. Amazing how fast they grow. Our twins were in special care for a couple of weeks after they were born. Was hard having to leave them, plus the daily visits were tiring, not to mention expensive for hospital parking. Taking them home was an awesome feeling. One good thing about it was that they were already in a feeding/sleep routine when we took them home, unlike our first who took ages to train. Enjoy. Quote
orangeLJ Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Awesome mate! bet you were like a 5 year old on red cordial waiting to get him home. Hope everything is smooth sailing from here on in. What was his ride home in? make model etc, all is important! haha Quote
