furryfrog Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) A few weeks ago i made a judgement error and put my car into a gutter pushing the crossmember back and bending the chassis rail where it bolts up. So its time to start over. I purchased a rolling shell off Andrew and got it towed home today at lunchtime. Later down the line *New front rotors, bearings and some .. pads (having a mind blank about the pads i use) *Reco the Radiator and move the inlet and outlet for easier routing, fit Coolant temp sensor and water temp sensor into the top radiator tank. *Install my watertemp, oiltemp and oilpressure gauges properly into the dash. *Fit a diff out of something so i can jump on it and not snap axels -George Edited December 22, 2010 by furryfrog Quote
furryfrog Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Posted May 19, 2009 Yeh pretty much, the angle i hit wasnt good enough to bounce off and something had to give. I was praying it was gonna be a control arm or strut but no dice. This shell is much cleaner rust wise, I'm not too fussed as i was planning on reshelling anyway. Quote

furryfrog Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 Wow i always manage to get side tracked. Ive been planning a trip in late jan to La, Mexico then heading to Spain and the rest of europe, didnt realise how much time that takes up. Got all the suspension swapped over and everything stripped out of the old shell ready for the tow truck to scrap it. Have to run the stock wheels till i mod the new guards also wired up the engine enough to get the car running, forgot how i had all the extras wired in so that will have to wait till i plug the lappy in. Still need to get the wiring tied up and in some conduit Quote
furryfrog Posted December 10, 2009 Author Report Posted December 10, 2009 Put the battery box in, need to get a bit of rod and flatbar to hold the battery inplace and i put the fuel setup in just need to trim the wiring and get some more fuel hose. Hoping for a good day of work tomorrow. Quote
