Hey, i know this isn't really worthy of a new thread but wasn't sure where else to ask. Does anyone know what the grill on this ke55 is from?

Looks like it's a normal round-light KE55 grille, unless there's something I'm missing. The fact that you don't normally see them in that condition might be putting you off.

I think it might be some sort of '3X grill.

 

The early '55 ones have 5x chrome verticle bars like this.....

Hi that grill above is off the series 1 Ke55, there is another form of early ke55 grille like that but it has the four silver vertical bars instead of two like on the pictured. It also has the red "C" badge instead of the blue. Its not every day that you see those blue badges on the grilles anymore.

Then your out of luck. This grille will be plastic. Metal grilles hadn't been made since the early KE2x's.

just cut out the centre of a grill and put some metal grid stuff they use for fencing would give the same look as that grill and metal If anyone knows the stuff I'm talking about

Cheers for the help fellas, recon somewhere like toyoland would have any? keen to put a metal grill on my ke36.
