Hey guys, firstly l'm new to this forum, and was hoping that l might be able to get some tech advice on different corolla front suspension setups, mostly in relation to camber plates/top mount etc. I have actually started up a small business on the side (www.elitepros.com), and one of the things l do is sell camber plates for datto's (l have a few dattos myself, and thus decided l didn't want to pay extraordinary prices for camber plates).

During making them l have sold quite a few to datto guys, and have been requested by toyota guys (TA22,TA23 celica etc) to make them fit too. So l now have a PCD top plate that fits TA22, but also corolla (seems to be KE30-KE55).

But l'm not 100% sure on that (or what models have same PCD etc), and not 100% sure how they mount up to the top spring mount, and what differences there are (if any).

So l guess basically, l'm wondering if anyone knows differences in PCD's, top spring seats etc etc, or even better yet, if someone is interested in trial fitting, (or donating some time/struts) for some trial fitting then that'd be even better. Of course l can offer anybody who helps some extremely good deals on camber plates etc.

Anyway, any info or advice you have would be appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

"and not 100% sure how they mount up to the top spring mount"

to be honest i don't think you'd get much adjustment on corollas with factory springs, the springs are quite close to the tower and think if you wound it in 10mm it would have interferance issues, not like dattos where theres quite a bit of room for adjustment

so id imange most of your customers will be ones running coilovers and top spring mount being different on each application

just something else to think about

Thanks guys, that's exactly the kind of information l was chasing. I'm located in Melbourne (updated my profile now).

So the springs are pretty close then, that's a pity. So how do you guys get neg camber? Longer LCA's? Or just convert to coil overs, and then don't have to worry?.

Good to hear the KE30-55 are same as TA22. So l guess camber plates would probably just be a custom fitment for each case based on the top spring seat used.

Are there any other models out there that use similar PCD's, or people struggle to get camber plates for?

Cheers

i normally go longer LCA's and only use camber plates to fine tune things, ke10 is way different isn't it? like leaf spring front end or something?

and you should sell some ke3X one to the guys over here in NZ, only option we have so far is toyotechno tuning or whatever there called, i know someone that might be keen

There would be a market for a camber top for the RA23/28 Celica I think. Its different to the TA22 and is very close to the S13 Silvia. Most guys with these model celica's buy a Sivia one and then file out the hole a smidge to make them fit.

Hey guys. I'm pretty sure my datto ones bolt straight up to TA23 (l've sold 1 set so far to a celica guy that fitted them without issue). Just depends on exact top spring seat.

But l've also just got some washers laser cut (for spring seat clearance), that will mean my TA22 mounts should work, and thus KE30-55 etc. I'd just like to confirm with someone 100% before l went selling them saying they fit (the pcd is fine, just how they bolt together with the strut).

Typically mine are $320 retail, but l'll do them for $270 incl deliv Aus wide for forum members. For NZ guys, l'll just add the difference in post costs to NZ (if interested let me know and l'll get exact costs). I was avoiding putting prices up as this is the tech section, so if interested in buying maybe pm or email me until l create a for sale thread.

And can someone fill me in (sorry for the stupid question), is KE3X the same as KE30?

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciated.

Cheers

X means whole series... like ke30 is sedan, ke35 is coue, ke36 is wagon so the last number means bodyshae, like you also get te30's which are the same body but with a 't' series engine insted of 'k'

i'll pm you if hes keen
