1G-GTE KE70 Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 yep. just finished a week of night shift. gotta love finishing work at 6am.... Quote
Nitephyre Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 uh huh, 7am's even better.. hell, sometimes 9am is greaaat!~ Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 yeah I hate earning $26/hr night shift... it really sucks... well it kinda does cos i get $3 a week less than when I do day shift ($21.65/hr) due to tax. $755 day shift a week after tax $752 night shift after tax. arvo shift is like $25 or so. haven't done a full week of arvo shift yet so i dunno how much i get... man getting money sucks  Quote
Redwarf Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 You're only getting $26 per hour for night shift? Bugger me, I don't get out of bed for that on a day shift! Something is not right with your tax. I'd look into it. I know how the system works, and you should be getting more than that. Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 i get about 450 a week to sit on my ass Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 nah cos I earn over $1000 a week nightshift so thats a higher tax brackety thingy... apparently. i'll look it up. Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 (edited) i get 313 a week usd...i was guesstimating it to be around 450aus. (quote) f@$k off mate, i'm on unemployment sometimes, unemployment rules i would trade with you in a heartbeat Edited May 16, 2005 by mikeys toy Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 either way you guys get stuff cheap over in the US. for example a cymbal that costs $215 over here costs (no sarcasm here) $50 in the US. I have a mate who i talk to on the net who lives in america. a drum skin costs like $15 over there that costs $35 here. it sucks Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 is that just the difference in dollar value? i bought a ke10 manual for $15aud and it cost me 7bucks Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 i just bought a TE78; i would trade bumpers and lights with you guys.....you got all the coolest cars there.....i mean come on, can you really say that about the us? Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 unemployment rules? hah! the absolute maximum you can get in a FORTNIGHT on the dole here is less than what i get in one week. unemployment rules if you live at home with your parents and don't have to buy anything, or in a house with about 7 other people who are in the same financial situation and even then, you're still being a dirty bludger, needlessly robbing from my taxes and from government funds which would be better spent on things like the roads and the health system Quote
