driftke70 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Basically 90% of the way through a ground up build of my keto, "the willy wag tail" ill just cut and paste from another forum. I basically started with the principles of a willy wag tail, small, light, agile, and happy to wave its tail everywhere. driftke70 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Report Posted May 14, 2009 can see the fuel cell how low it sits, kinda blurry, its actually higher than ive seen, but much lower than alot of people i have seen just mount it in the boot with no recess at all. braced my panard for the hell of it fuel cell mounted, need to trim straps there snug is one word that comes to mind making the exhaust on the weekend, bought 2.5 inch stainless and some bends and stuff, should come out good. LukeAE71 Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Another post from me to help you post pics :y: What sort of power do you expect from the 3SGTE and how hard would you rate the conversion to do? Just curious :) Quote
driftke70 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Report Posted May 14, 2009 i want around 200kw at the treads, if not more, pit of a prick of a conversion, but it suits me, could have gone sr or something like that, but i didnt really want to, the gen 3 3sgte is a really underrated engine, comes with forged internals and ballanced bottom end from the factory, bullet proof, makes good torque nice and early with a nice curve for both torque and hp, holds revs, doesnt have dodgey valve setups, and not cross breeding. LittleRedSpirit Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Very nice. I wondered if that sheet metal panhard mount might have been flimsy. With all the modding going on I thought you might putt in watts link stuff? :y: Quote
driftke70 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Report Posted May 14, 2009 watts linkage isnt viable with so little travel, any benifit you have is thrown away with play in double the amount of bushes, equal length 4 links with rose joints, decent setting and stuff is more than enough. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Good to see so much progress, Haven't seen it in a while. You still hit archy from time to time? Quote

philbey Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 What an absolute weapon. Not many people do the RWD 3SGTE thing. I looked into it years ago and I found very few people had tried it. Quote
driftke70 Posted June 3, 2009 Author Report Posted June 3, 2009 as far as i have noticed i have not seen 1 person put in a gen 3, into an 86 ke70 te70 or anything like that, no starlets and stuff, so as far as I'm concerned gen3 is a world first :bash: Quote
