whell pretty much the higher the plus eg 17x7 +30 is great IF you can't fit much tyre under your guard and want it as close to the strut as possible if like most jap cars u want the rim as close to the guard as possible and u are not putting wide tyres on you will want something like a +10 if that makes sence. plus remeber u always have little extra u can take off that off set with a a spacer but puting on a 10 mm spacer a +30 is more like a +15 get me

putting a 10mm spacer on a +30 rim will effectively make it +20...not +15

In a 17" wheel your not going to get something like a 17x7 +10 so I have nothing else to add

uh ... yeah relly confused i always thought positive offset was the other way around.

i know i can alway make the rim "sit out further" with spacers, so if i get +30 i can always space it out ?

compare old wheel (tyre+rim) to new wheel (tyre+rim)

rims don't hit anything (unless stupidly stretched),

tyres hit first, so choose a tyre to go with your rim first...

then consider:

1. overall diameter

2. backspace

3. guard clearance

4. steering clearance

5. steering geometry feel

there are programs on the net that tell you exactly what your old and new wheel differences

are and how it affects everything, might see if i can find them...

yeah i don't go much on spacers , the most i will run is a 5mm spacer.
