Will A 2t Fit In To A T50 Box

Hi, I have just got a 1600 2t out of a celica for free and i currently have a 4-ac with a t50 box, i know that the 2t comes stock with a t52 but i wanted to know if a 2t could go in to a t50.

Also i was wondering is it worth it, replacing a 4-ac with a 2t. I believe that the 4ac puts out about 90hp (may be less as is the aus version and haven't taken the pollution gear off yet) and i think the 2t puts out about 100hp (not so sure about that)

The 2T comes with a T50, no such thing as a T52. However, there are two different T50s, with different numbers of splines on the output shaft (20 and 22), one type came out behind the 4AC/4AGE, and the other came out behind the 2T, and I'm pretty certain they aren't compatible. Plenty of info running around here and Toymods about which is which, some searching would do you good.

Thanks for that cleared up a lot of confusion wonder where i got the idea of a t52 :) guess ill just have to look in to getting a t50 with the different spline or maybe not worry about it at all.

4age conversion would be better. It's almost a bolt-in operation and it's a much better motor. It's the most popular AE71 conversion by far

and the simplest, most effective.
