Budowski Posted August 21, 2009 Author Report Posted August 21, 2009 Sorry if this has been said already, but what are the dates for this cruise? If it's the 23rd and 24th of Jan, then i'll be out. Murray Bridge Autofest!! hehehe..haven't missed one yet.. i am fairly interested, will just have to make sure the KE30 is up for it... Hi, i just edited my 1st post for the dates so check it out and also have a read in the vic section where all the organising is taking place. Cheers matt.
Budowski Posted September 20, 2009 Author Report Posted September 20, 2009 Thought id give an update on my readyness for the trip. Car is out of the shed after sitting in the weeds for 5 months and 2 months on jack stands. Ive Replaced balljoints, 95% nolathane the car, tie rod ends, clutch, shifter bush kit, wheel bearings, positive battery terminal, and battery. Things getting done this week as I'm holidays Rego, new exhaust, new radaitor and wheel alignment. In the 2nd week of my holidays we are going to ballerat. I wanted to take the AE71 but i don't think it would be wise since i havent had time to give her a shake down. I havent asked for time off yet but pretty it wont be an issue, vess has hers approved. How is everyone else going with getting time off and car readyness ?
LukeAE71 Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Car is ready, time off to be negotiated but shouldn't be a problem. I can't wait :jamie:

Raven Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 I should be taking the panel van on the run :) I'd say she would be pretty reliable since the motor only has 30,000k's on it :jamie:
dfunkt Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 sounds like a plan, have a few beers at the local eh? PM sent :jamie:
Budowski Posted October 26, 2009 Author Report Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) I'm 99% sure i could do the trip now with no problems, but id love to have a new paint job before the trip, cars "looks" are rather poor. Mechanically no issues, only thing left is electric fan and new radaitor. Not liking the fan hub atm sounds like 100 series landcruiser  The attendance list may be coming about soon so keep your eyes on the vic section for deposit updates ect. SLO-030 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 If the wagon gets done in time (I'm really hoping so) then i might tag along. time off shouldnt be a problem.
dfunkt Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 after months of nothing, we finally have action :) straight from the horses mouth, we're pencilled in at Claremont Holiday Village. 7 sites at 4ppl per site. we should be able to get more if needed (didn't bother asking) rough price of $60-$70 total. deposit of around $30 will be needed soonish to hold the sites, they want 50% deposit for them. nobby'll post up more info later (actually, he probably won't as i've put in most of the important stuff) dF

I was looking forward to this alot but as a mortgage needs to be paid and shed loan somethings require more attention. cheers matt and vess

But, due to the staff cuts and role change they cannot guarantee the time off.
