ca18ke20 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 hi all i have just recently bought a ae82 with a blacktop 4age engine installed.the problem is that it has a auto gearbox and is driving me mad.I'm looking at converting it to manual but I'm not sure if the auto ecu will be ok to use with the manual gearbox. do i have to bridge anything out at the ecu in order for the standard ecu to work? i have been told that the auto and manual wiring harness plugs are different. any help with this would be greatly appreciated. peterc529 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Hi ca18ke20 The blacktop auto ecu will be ok. When you change to a manual gearbox you can disconnect all of the auto trans connections except for the neutral start switch (NSW) which is pin number 22 on the 22 pin plug. This table (from club4ag) shows the manual blacktop ecu pinouts. This is a table showing the pinouts on an auto ecu. Hope you you find this useful. Regards, Peter Quote
