out with the ke10 front end ... What did they look like then ??

No definitely not. Publicas generally much more square in the front end. The style line on yours stops behind the wheelarch but they generally run the length of the panel. The corner marker on publica is lower and the bonnet is much flatter. Your scuttle has been replaced with a KE10 item, you can see the bulge in it whereas the publica one is flat.

 

Take a look at this vs a KE10 front you'll see what I mean.

 

 

Looks like yours has had a lot of work put into swapping the front clip. I wonder if they are a similar platform and some of these parts are interchangeable???
