LukeAE71 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Report Posted May 19, 2009 Wait it out mate. Jays work is worth the wait. He just has too many customers cars on haha. He needs better time management. Yeah, I wasn't having a go I can see how busy he is there :y:
LukeAE71 Posted May 21, 2009 Author Report Posted May 21, 2009 Update - Went to mechanic yesterday and they have almost finished what they need to do with it. He said he wouldn't have the exhaust done by Friday (today) so I booked it in to the exhaust place next door. He was ok with this as he has too much work on and trying to get his car ready for Drift Supercup this weekend at Mallala also. The exhaust will be done either this afternoon or tomorrow morning so I will be picking the car up by tomorrow either way. I can't wait I will be able to drive it this weekend. 6 months of hard slog, money and patience and I will finally be driving it tomorrow :D :fuzz:   F%$king cannot wait :sob: :no2:

LukeAE71 Posted May 25, 2009 Author Report Posted May 25, 2009 WOOT! hey drop into CMI west tce service centre off sturt street before 1130 if i can have a gander Sorry Matt didn't see this til it was too late. Come to the cruise this Sunday it will be it's first big outing
LukeAE71 Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 Just bought me some of these They should arrive in a few days so will fit them. They should sound insane!!! Still a few minor issues with the car that are being sorted so it really hasn't had a decent drive yet but slowly working through them. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to cruise round in it no worries at all. After all this hard work and time it will pay to make sure everything is 110% before really sinking the boot in
20vftw Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 What's wrong with the current ones? I'll buy the old ones
LukeAE71 Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 What's wrong with the current ones? I'll buy the old ones  They are just a cheap set that are normally used on a weber carbs I think. I got them as a package with some other stuff and used them in the meantime while I waited for a proper T3 setup to come up for sale. The ones above came up so I bought em. Seriously you can have them for like $20 if you want them, as soon as I get the other ones on there.
LukeAE71 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Report Posted May 27, 2009 Put all of this 4age biso into my pano! errr no :P Does this look like a wanted to buy or for sale thread, this is the second time someone has tried to sell me something in here. :P
LittleRedSpirit Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 errr no :P Does this look like a wanted to buy or for sale thread, this is the second time someone has tried to sell me something in here. :P Those trumpets are awesome but I'm not sure if they fit. I had 80mm long ones that needed to be cut around the brake booster. I would hate to see these getting butchered, being nice billett ones and all. Fingers crossed, how long are they?
LukeAE71 Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Posted May 28, 2009 T3 website says 75mm..... oops I had no idea they were that long. Here is hoping they fit!! You almost ruined my buzz/excitement of my purchase LRS :P I remember you saying I could fit a smaller brake booster from another model so that might be an option also. I will see how they go when they get here, otherwise I will keep my old set on until I can make them work. I had ideas that the work and money for this car was going to stop, but since it is now running my mind is working overtime on all sorts of brake upgrades, diff upgrades, and the like. :P My wife is going to kill me ;)
LukeAE71 Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Posted May 28, 2009 Update Saturday came and went and I did not get to pick up the car. Last night (Thursday night) I picked up the car and drove it home. It is currently running on the Microtech Base Map and it is so rich it's not funny. Anyway some pics - Fuel System - lift pump needs to be rubber mounted, way too loud Some pics of the exhaust - stock as can be officer :hmm: Final engine bay pics, it is running here Steam coming from the exhaust, it is alive Going in to be tuned at another workshop next week after new trumpets are fitted, etc. Hopefully I can sink the boot in next weekend. Even with it running so rich it still has good pickup, and the induction noise is boneriffic :rolla: You can't hear the exhaust, just the induction and I love it
