please tell me it wasnt those bullet holes that you can buy and make it look like it has been shot at

yes it is because Nana's are usually wanted by the mafia and shot at on a daily basis :hmm:

It is actually a sticker of two people bowling either side of the words "Work is for people who don't bowl" There are some other bowling related accessories to go on the car soon. ;)

No more pics after the weekend as promised but I will put some up this week.

I stopped in at Buddyparts on Friday on my way home from work and picked up a few parts, we got chatting and basically he will be finishing my car for me. He will be doing the wiring, tuning and making an exhaust and any other last little bits I have missed or I couldn't be bothered with. Looks to me like he does awesome work there and his prices were better than anyone elses.

With any luck my Yager fitting might FINALLY turn up this week, seriously that place has some issues :P , so then I can finish off the cooling system and connect all my rad hoses and get it as ready as possible for Jay at Buddyparts to work his magic. Basically the more I do the less he will charge me which is fair ;)

At this stage it is tentatively booked in for next week, and he said it will be done within three days so I could be driving it by next weekend :P

car looks gd luke :P Jay can most definitely complete the car in 3 days, but lets hope its not 3wks :P

I know he's quite bsy working on his aristo trying to get that completed for drift comp in 3wks time. I struggled to squeeze my car in to fit a hd clutch which is only a half hour job. He does do a great job though i must admit.

any plans for this car drift? grip?

Ok so more parts acquired today, count down is on to have it ready to be sent off next week...

- Thermo Fan

- YAGER Thermostat Fitting - arrived finally :P

- Fuel Pump Mounts

- Various hose clamps

- Custom radiator hose setup

- New plugs and leads

A little work to do this weekend to fit the above items then that's it from me.

I did a quick calculation of what it has cost me so far including labour for the wiring and it came to $4150 :) Far out that has added up quick. That doesn't include a lot of random stuff I have acquired along the way that is required. Bear in mind also that alot of my parts have been acquired at trade prices or what I like to call forum (read cheap) prices. Buying stuff off forums has saved me a fortune. If I had bought everything at full retail price I think I would not have been able to afford it.

I will give a breakdown of my costs in another post, not that I want to REALLY add it all up.

Let's hope it's worth it, so amped that it will be running very soon. :P

Hahaha, doesn't it hurt when you find out how much you've actually spent? With my conversion, it ended up at just over $3k and I had only budgeted $2k max. haha. Hopefully it doesn't go much higher hey.

Tow is booked for tomorrow morning!!

I'm so excited but stressed at the same time hoping I have bought most of the stuff the mechanic will need. Also stressed about the bill he is going to hand me :)

But massively excited about the first time I see it running, and then driving it :D

Will put up some more pics tomorrow, been slack lately and too busy working on it to worry about pics. :bash:

Update:

I spent last night doing the last of what I could do to it before it went this morning to be wired up. I was out in 4 degree weather until 2am this morning so am a bit shabby today. Tow was booked for this morning so it forced me to finish it.

I hope to pick it up this Friday ready to drive it for the first time in 4 months. It is going to be weird and exciting as the last time I drove it it was 3 speed auto and 4AC. Now it will be, well, you know

Some random pics showing my workings.

Photos from this morning showing it leaving my driveway for the first time in 4 months. I took pics of all the stuff I put in the car in case it went missing between my house and the mechanic :hmm:

Loving the full view of the car I took here. I have 2" lowered springs to go in when I get it back. Another job for me to do  Kind of getting tired of working on it at the moment :P

You wont be tired of working on it when you can drive it and see what difference your work has made after.

Are you gonna take the front engine mount off? Looks like crap sticking out there.
