JJT036 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Report Posted September 10, 2012 So with it all fitted up and properly screwed on, we took Ollie down to the Car Wash, because she was looking very filthy from all the recent winds blowing dust into the garage. Any comments and feedback are welcomed. We think they look very cool. We may be attending this month's CC&D at Attwood Police Training Centre, so for those who are going, can see how's it done in person. :) Woz & Josh  Quote
rolla van man Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Either the spats need to be longer... Or about a foot and a half drop in ride height!! Needs to be tucking Quote
JJT036 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Report Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) We wanted them to run along the factory body lines so it looks almost like it was a optional extra. I'm trying to get together another thing for her, just need some monies to do it. :) Josh. Edited September 11, 2012 by JJT036 Quote
JJT036 Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 Well, after having a good look at it in daylight and in different angles, we didn't like them, so have taken them off. It was just a little experiment that we thought we should put into practice, but after serious thinking, we took them off. Quote
nerfbat Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 the height was spot on mate. matched the lines well, imho the problem with spats tho, is you either love them or hate them 1 Quote
nerfbat Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) you could go lower with vents too, which might be more to people's liking? Edited September 11, 2012 by nerfbat Quote

Thanks Zowie. Yes those spats are cool, but it's not a '55 Chev Sedan, and I didn't want a full-arch spat. I just something neat that goes along with the body lines. :) We might test them on the Joely-rolla, to see how they look on a KE30 2-door, but I don't think they'll go on the Panelvan again. And the best bit was, it's all completely reversable. Josh  Quote
ninja-philbo Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Use some old doors then u get the body line. Quote
JJT036 Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) Well they're off now, and I don't think they'll be going back on for a very long time. It was something we thought we'd try out, but obviously they don't work too well on Windowless Panelvans. Josh  Edited September 11, 2012 by JJT036 Quote
Oh-KE Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Oh man am i glad to hear it haha. I didnt wanna say anything but they didnt do it for me. The visor though. Absolutely pimp. Great job. I want one like that not the mesh one like i have. and everything else looks great so keep it up! Quote
KP61 Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 Don't know why but when I saw them I instantly thought "HR wagon with spats" Very much so like this one, with the other accessories it could very well work. Cheers Quote
JJT036 Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 Thanks chris. They didn't with for us either, the main reason why we ditched them. But everything else that's on it fits the bill perfectly. I just want to find a nice set of roof racks like yours, and the style/theme is complete. :) Quote
JJT036 Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 That's exactly the idea/thought we had kp61. Only problem is, it's a dark colour, and there's too much panel at the rear-half of the car. Josh  Quote
kickn5k Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 Still coming to Attwood guys?? Quote
