Fantastic work guys, the car looks awesome (overrated gets thrown around a bit too much so hence the edit) & the licence plate rules!! :rocknroll:

Can't wait to see this out & about, hopefully mine wont be far behind. Might have to pop up one day, Sunbury isnt too far from me.

Hey guys,

Not much progress has happened since May 1. She is still under the back porch because Mum really loves her garage, and also time with Dad working, and being busy.

Plans now are -- Finish putting together the Exterior, and leave it at that, and then Start working on the Smurf and get that on the road.

I figured a Grandpa-Spec Car does not mix with a Loud Exhaust System, so the Stockies that are on The Smurf are staying on it, and the Sun-Visor I bought on my 14th B'day, is going on The Smurf as well.

So now, I'm after a set of these wheels in 14x6" or 14x7", in 5-Spoke and 4x114.3 -- and Yes, they did do 5-Spoke 4-Stud Dragways.

Those rims will look good on the car.

Personally I see nothing wrong with a loud exhaust on a grandpa spec car (there's a few fords, holdens and valiants going around like that) as long as its not a cannon. You want to turn heads for the right reasons!

Yum yum yum  Excellent taste sir!

You're right, loud exhaust doesnt go with grandpa-spec looks...needs side pipes!!! :laff:

Hahahaha. Thanks mate. I was thinking of cutting off the exhaust before the diff, but I'll keep the standard muffler there so I don't get pulled up by the Rozzers. :D

Thanks mate. You're right, but this is a Corolla Panelvan, and I think the Wheels and the Blue Paint will turn heads, or snap necks -- as it is. :)

We went to the Aftermarket Collision Trade Show at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre yesterday, and we got a few ideas and plenty of Freebies.

But yesterday, the biggest Freebie of all was, a One on One chat, a Photo, a Signed Poster, with both Victor and Ben Bray. And I was also personally handed a $500 Sidchrome Spanner Set from Victor Bray himself, FREE !!!!!

The Photo wasn't clear, being on the spot from Dad's phone (Nokia N97 Mini), but it was awesome to meet, and talk to the Bray's. :)

Hey fellas. Not much to update.

We've both been busy with work. Me doing work experience as a Mobile Mechanic, and Dad flat out everyday at his work.

Tomorrow (today), pending on weather conditions, we might try and get some things done on Ollie. We're gonna aim at putting on the Door Handles and the Front Bumper. Then we might go down pinch-a-part campbellfield for some things. :)

Nice going with the work experience! :y: Poor Dad for having to bust his bum. :(

Any idea roughly what time you'll be at Pinch-A-Part? I was thinking of heading that way today for an ignition coil bracket, would be nice to meet up/say g'day  If not, another time! :D

Cheers mate. We were there at around 3pm-ish and got some Hockey Sticks for the Front Guards off a KE55.

We saw there was a new KE55 in there on the website, and it's in pretty good condition. We saw it's rego label and it recently ran out of rego. We think the only reason why it's in there is because there was a sticker on the windscreen from the City of Whittlesea saying if the car isn't moved in 24 hours, it will be scrapped.

But yeah, we'll have to meet up another time. :y:

Did some work today (yesterday) after Pinch-a-Part. We put a battery in Ollie, and she started first shot. :D So got her in the shed, put on the Front Bumper, Painted the stockies we have on it at the moment and put on some Chrome Rim Trims (looks awesome), and Temporarily Painted the Standard Carby Filter Hats (looks a bit gay but will do for now).

Tomorrow (today) we're gonna fit the Door Handles, Fit KE70 seats and throw on Black Seat Covers, fit the Carby Hats, and get some Photo's to share. :)
