Been driving her around more recently. We took her out to the JDMST meet at DFO Essendon on Saturday. Man was that an awesome show. It was Good to see and talk to other RC members that were there. :)

And many thanks to Adam (silverra23) for snapping up this awesome photo of her. :y:

Over the time since our last post, we've made Ollie look cool.

We got out the Sunvisor Josh got for his 14th birthday (remember?), sprayed some Blue Paint on it, and put it on.

We also found some spare 13" stockies with RWC tyres on them, and painted them White. Then we found the KE35 Hubcaps, cleaned them up, and chucked 'em on.

Today, Dad brought home an old-school PPG steel drink-cooler Esky, which will be on display tomorrow. And we also put some Black Vinyl covers over the Interior Wheel Wells.

Overall how she looks now. :)

Looked the goods today guys!! Must have arrived early to get your spot.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to catch up(didn't see either of you). Will you be at brimbank park?

I just read your while thread. What a nice project you and your dad did. That car looks amazing. I look forward to seeing the changes you make to it in the future.

Cheers mate. There are plenty of changes coming, but all will be strictly under raps.

Cheers Stu. At this stage, yes, as well as Preston in August. :)

Today's show was awesome. Good to see so many Toyota's at one venue.

Wicked your old 4k should be making the trip to brimbank, I think the dates for Preston collide with a hot rod run I'm going to. But if not it should be there too.

Was a good day. Everything from the ft86 all the way back to the little sports 600.

Hahaha. The old "Lowering Block".

The little 600 was awesome, but, (being a bit brave here), not as cool as some of the KE25s that were there. And the FT86s were pretty cool too.

Is your KE11 gonna be at Brimbank Park next month?

Nah the 25 with the 4AGTE is a pretty special car. Still have a massive soft spot for Harveys ke15 though.

Yep making the big trip in the 11 to brimbank. I'll then know how the westies feel when coming to the southern events. Haha

Hahahaha. Today's trip wasn't bad. Just go down the Tulla, then onto the Eastern, into Eastlink, in a Total Time of 1 hour.

The 4A-GTE KE25 was at Hanging Rock earlier this year, but parked in the wrong section. Very tough little car that one.

KE-0015 was very awesome to see in person. Can definitely see why it was runner-up in RCOTY 2010. :)

Can't wait to see your KE11 next month. Will be a very cool sight.

Not much to update, other than really enjoying driving this, snapping people's necks everywhere I go, and constantly getting comments like "Nice Datsun mate" and "When's the VN V6 going in it?". :D

Although, recently we've been up to something that, again, no-one has really done before either. First was the press-fitted rear window, second was the hidden fuel-line (which mind-stuffed some Toyota Technicians at the TOCAU Brighton Toyota Event in June earlier this year), and now, this.

We thought, lets add more to the current old-school grandpa look we have now, so Dad come up with these. For those who don't know, they're "Wheel Spats". We simply got the bonnet that was originally on this, got out the angle grinder, and cut out these spats. Then I bought some Primer, Dad got some "Galaxy Blue" from work, as well as some Clear, and painted them up. Dad then got some thin rubber from Clark Rubber, to sit between the Spat and the Wheel Arch, and then we bought some L-hooks, and Nuts and Screws from Bunnings, and fitted it all up.
