Hey I have searched the net and can't find shit but does anyone know when the 1uz timing belt has to be replaced, My mate has the 4.7L (2UZ) version in his landcrusier and it sez to change the belt at 150'000km's, Don't ask...

normally 100 thou kms you replace T/belt,so assuming your car has done or just pass 100 thou you replace them. on my 1999 V6 touring camry 120 thou kms is recommended you replace the T/belt,

saves you from severe engine damage due to T/belt failure.

And...

 

Rebuild the starter, new belt and water pump, and change the plugs before you stick it in anything.

 

Its in a LS400/Celsior, I'm not looking at buying an engine.
