mokemark Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 It is complete though with some hard to get parts, I would have thought it to be worth around the $1000 mark. Might be hard to get RWC though. I am the second owner and i managed to get a rwc in vic a bit over 12mths ago ( amazing how fast rust hits down the beach) i think part of the problem is i polished it a bit to much for the rw and left about .000000000000001mm of paint :) Quote
LukeAE71 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Yeah I am not from Vic and I guess getting an RWC will depend on where you go to for it. You could always sell it to someone in SA which means you do not need an RWC. People in SA would be all over this if you officially put it up for sale. It wouldn't cost that much to transport it either seeming as it will drive onto a truck/train/etc. Quote
BReNt Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 I am the second owner and i managed to get a rwc in vic a bit over 12mths ago This may be a bit off topic but are those the original number plates it's had all its life?? Black with white numbers/letters? Also how long have you owned this car as it looks very similar to one I used to see quite a bit a few years ago and I was thinking about it just the other day wondering what had happened to it... drc_ke20 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 sorry but ,do you have a picture of the engine bay?thanks! Quote
seabiscuit Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) If you were to sell it whole in it's condition, people most-likely would only buy it for a project (strip and CLEAN everything) or for the parts that have been previously stated as "hard to find". As a rough guesstimate I'd say between the $300-$700 mark, which of course all depends on what people are willing to pay as they are quite a rare find now and some people may pay more! Stripping it down (:jamie:) and parting it out would probably get you a little more money, but this would definitely be a great project car for an enthusiast, but then that might be a hard find too. EDIT: I see an uncracked dash! Someone offer some money :) Edited March 25, 2009 by seabiscuit Quote
Tally Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 sweet little wagon man, i would buy if you were in SA... whats the deal with the fender mirrrors? did you put em on? Quote
mokemark Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Brent it was originally from your neck of the woods epping and yep they are original plates. Tally I was told the mirrors were on it from new. I have seen similar things on cars that are imported Hilux surf i think but i have no idea really drc ke20 photo below ( note the temporary/permanent clutch cable repair) is there nothing cable ties will not do :) Quote
BReNt Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 I reckon if you gave this a really good clean up, a cut and polish, maybe paint the wheels and a few other little things like that, then put it on ebay you could get close to $1000 or even more. Quote
eiriksmil Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 That's nothing when it comes to rust.. How is it underneath, pretty rust free I'd imagine? Cars like these nice big holes in them here where I live, I'd pick this up in a heartbeat if it was here :) Quote
